A Food Lover in Mwenga

Food is sexy. Food has its own language. Now a days I have turned into a foody.I am taking vareities of food from morning till I go for sleeping. I enjoy cashewnut, fruit juice and chicken dishes. I love pasta too, but it's not available here.

It's Saturday today.Unlike other working days,we usually observe it as maintenance day.I slept very late last night as I was watching a romantic english movie named "Love Is All You Need"cast by Pierce Bronson, the former 007 of Holleywood. After I woke up I found my Uruguayan neighbours had been very busy. They were working hard to do all administrative works of the camp.During lunch time I found them very quite. So I thought they might taking rest after having lunch.

In the afternoon Haque suddenly cameto me and reported that Uruguayans are starving since morning as their ration is finished. They have nothing to cook and their ration supply is yet to reach from Kavumu, the base camp.I was shocked hearing this.Haque asked me whether we can share some food with them.I agreed without any hesitation and told him to arrange lunch for them.We had our dinner cooked so it was easy for us to feed all the Uruguayan soilders. The menu was boiled rice with beef curry;sumptuous indeed for those who have been starved for long.Even though Uruguayans are not habituated in taking spicy food as we Bangladeshi do, I heard afterwards that they had enjoyed the food. Now I can hear the lively sounds of my Uruguayan friends. They are now enjoying this lazy afternoon by gossiping among themselves.

I was thinking that they should have asked for some ration to us which might be on loan. There's no harm in that. They really felt ashamed and hesitant to ask for ration as they have asked some help before.Nevertheless they are now happy and enjoying their time.Good Luck to them.
